I am a Huntsville native and a graduate of Lee High School. I am from a family of educators. My mother teaches Special Education and my uncle teaches at an Elementary school, both in Houston, TX. My grandmother and aunt served right here in the Riverton area! I am supported by my husband, Kelly, and we have four children, Mackenzie, Madison, Madelyn, and Alexander. My earned my Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education - Mathematics from the University of Alabama, ROLL TIDE! Because Kelly was prior military (Air Force), we have moved several times. Our first duty station in 2003 was at Warner Robins Air Force Base where I taught for four years in the Macon, Georgia area. We then moved to the St. Louis, Missouri area in 2007 and were stationed right across the river at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois. I taught three years at a charter high school in downtown St. Louis, just blocks from the Busch Stadium, and traveled by the St. Louis Arch daily! We were fortunate enough to be stationed overseas in England for a year before returning here to Huntsville in 2011. I worked for Huntsville City Schools Central Office in the Student Services Department for two years before becoming an Assistant Principal at Chapman P-8. I earned my Master’s degree in Instructional Leadership from Alabama A&M University in 2013, GO BULLDOGS! I served as an Assistant Principal for two years at Chapman and for a year at Hampton Cove Middle before coming to Madison County Schools as the Coordinator of Student Services in June of 2016.
My door is always open to you and your concerns. Please contact me if I can be of assistance.
